Tip # 8 Back to School Safety Tips for Drivers

Tip # 8 - Schools Back In!  Watch out for children on the road.

According to the National Safe Routes to School program more children are hit by vehicles close to schools than at any other location.

If you are dropping off make sure you know the drop-off procedures for the school.

Tips for all school zones:

Don't double park as it will block visibility for other cars and children.
Don't pick up or drop off children across the street from the school.
Carpool to reduce the number of vehicles at the school.
Don't rush.  Get up that extra 5 minutes early to make for a stress free morning and drop off.

More tips to come....

Stay safe.
